My name is Helder Palrao, and I’m the business owner of Palrao Masonry LLC. I moved from Azores, Portugal as a child and I always enjoyed drawing/making designs and building things. It was very rewarding to see my ideas transform into real life so it was no surprise that I got into the business of masonry. My father is a construction worker and mason so that is what peaked my interest of masonry initially. Since I was younger, I watched my father work, and I learned the tips of the trade and once I was old enough, I got into the construction and masonry business as well. After doing this, I knew that I wanted to create my own masonry business, but I wanted to make sure I knew exactly how to from the ground up. I wanted to learn the ins and outs of owning a business so I earned my bachelors in business administration with a focus in entrepreneurship from URI first. I am currently enlisted in the Army National Guard and have taken that training to gain great leadership skills. With my background in business and the skills I have acquired over the years by working in construction and masonry, I know that I’ve created a great foundation (pun intended) with my business. As of this year, I officially started my business to do what I love and to help my customers transform their properties.
